End Of An Era: Google Plus To Shutdown on 2nd April

Google Plus is one of the popular social media platforms out there. And while it was very integral to serp ranking, Google+ just couldn’t compete Facebook. It’s no surprise, therefore that Google has decided to end personal accounts by April due to what the company admited as ‘low usage’.

While the shutdown and deletion of accounts is scheduled for April, you can’t create any Google+ accounts as of this month (February 2019. This is a big blow to bloggers who relied on traffic from Google Plus communities or had huge following on the platform

On 2 April, your Google+ account and any Google+ pages that you’ve created will be shut down and we will begin deleting content from consumer Google+ accounts

The good news is, you still have time to save your data and photos that aren’t stored on Google Photos
